Hookhour has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we have no server.
Location
With your permission, the app uses your location on your device to ask Apple Weather (WeatherKit) for the forecast. Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy and we never receive your location.
Tides
For US tide times the app downloads the public list of NOAA stations and then asks NOAA for one station's tide times. It sends the station number, not your location.
Sun and moon
Sun and moon times are calculated on your phone.
Your spots and log
Saved spots and your catch log are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. Export CSV only creates a file when you choose to share it.
Purchases
Pro purchases are handled by Apple. We do not see your payment details.
Children
Hookhour is not directed to children under 13.
